I know that Gamma Eta became inactive 5 years ago, but what's going on these days with Theta Chi at Bucknell?

At the time of this post (October 26, 2005), Gamma Eta Chapter is preparing to return to Bucknell. We currently have an Interest Group composed of 17 Bucknell men who have made a commitment to Theta Chi. Two of these men are Seniors. Since they have 15 underclassmen, they will be able to move back into the Chapter house for the 2006-2007 academic year. I have already been contacted by Bucknell Facilities to discuss their and our plans for the house. They want to start working on the basement very soon.

Once the Interest Group reaches 25 men, they will become a Colony of Theta Chi and the men will be installed as New Members (the current phrase for Pledges). At Homecoming, they told us that they are all looking forward to this day and being able to wear their pledge pins.

Once the Colony reaches 45 men, they can petition to be reinstalled as Gamma Eta Chapter, allowing them to be initiated as Brothers. This is something that we should all work towards together. Please contact members of the Alumni Corporation Board or the Chapter Advisory Board if you think you can lend a Helping Hand.
